Born in Honduras but transplanted to the Midwest, Alejandra Sabillon (@alejandra_sabillon) is a bit of a nomad. Moving from Kansas to Tennessee for art school, trekking across the country on friends' tours, settling (for a bit) in San Francisco where she worked for some cool vintage stores, and eventually ending up in New York where she is a photographer and DJ. Below, she talks to Kristin Gallegos about unruly hair, haters, and her dog.

I’ve been working on an ongoing polaroid series for about a year now and I DJ every week at a few different places in the city but every Friday night I’m at the Soho Grand Hotel.
What is your idea of perfect happiness?
To be a beloved freak.

Having to do complicated math in front of people.
