For Autumn/Winter ’13, New York favourite Rag & Bone have launched parallel men's and women's campaigns, shot by legendary fashion eye Glen Luchford. Lea Seydoux roams the streets and subways of the city, wrapped up in the women’s collection. Great textured knits with leather detailing and androgynous suiting are typically covetable Rag & Bone staples for the season.
Actor Michael Pitt catches a cab downtown and brandishes his guitar in Luchford's analogue shots. Pitt sacrificed his own guitar in order to get the best shot – spontaneously smashing it in the street. We love how energetic the series feels, so simple yet capturing perfectly the rhythm of the NYC streets.
Using 35 and 16mm film, Glen Luchford hand-developed the images for both campaigns. Shooting the photographs using only natural light and no direction is refreshingly bold and has yielded an exceptionally alluring campaign.
